It happens to the best of us. We buy the house with the one or two car garage with the thoughts of parking indoors during the winter without having to ever scrape the windshield, brush off the snow, or even get too chilled while walking to a cold car.
Then 6 months go by and we still haven't finished cleaning out the boxes from where we moved in.
Then a year goes by and, while we've stacked the boxes a little more neatly during 'spring cleaning', they're still taking up space.
Next summer we accumulate a few bicycles and a treadmill that we use religiously. (Haha!) Those Christmas decorations can't exactly sit out around the house all year and YES, we absolutely have to keep every craft and project that our lovely children bring home from school.
And don't forget about the new bass boat. Letting it sit outside and get rained on would be a crime against humanity. After all, they're not made to get wet...
Before you know it we're using some very expensive square footage of our home to store things that we may only use once or twice a season! And the worse part is that we're still out there in the cold, 20 minutes early, scraping off the windows and using expensive fuel to warm up a car just to drive to work.
So how do you reclaim that garage? Get rid of all of your stuff of course!
Haha, yeah, I wasn't going to either.
But I did relocate it all to a self storage facility that keeps it all secure and accessible any time I need to use it. I'm also actually paying less per square foot at a storage facility than our own garage is worth considering our mortgage payment.
Now my wife and I get to park inside and the most time consuming thing is waiting for garage door to open.
Wouldn't it be nice to remove one more time consuming stress in your busy morning?
Reclaim that garage and relocate the STUFF!
